Today was your last day of Middle School classes! YIPPEEE! Great job.

Monday is our Beach Trip! DO NOT BE LATE TO SCHOOL! You need:

  • a lunch & drink
  • beach stuff: bathingsuit & a towel, a change of clothes if you will swim so you can ride home dry
  • sunblock, hat and a sweatshirt in case it’s cold by the water
  • a pen to sign yearbooks with
  • basketball(there are courts there), frisbee, football, etc.

LAST TEST….

is tomorrow!

You will need to know the following:

-be able to solve an inequality in one variable graph the solution on a number line

-be able to solve an inequality in two variables and graph the solution on a coordinate plane.  (You must first rewrite the inequality in y=mx + b form.)

-be able to solve word problems like those from today’s class

  • Bring in a bag to take home the contents of your locker, desk, and hanging file!

  •  Be prepared to read a poem (or two) in tomorrow’s poetry reading w/ Sarah’s split.  Extra credit for those who read
  • Bring in a snack if you’d like for the splits to share during our reading.
  • If you are reading: Provide a revised speech to me, using the changes I gave you and any you got from a peer editor.

Due Thursday:

  • Stamp Project: 2 Stamps, mounted on a single board or thicker sheet of construction paper.  Each complete with colors, 44Cent label, 5 sentences.  See the assignment and adhere to the project requirements for  your grade! 

*****Bring in a bag to clean up and take home the contents of your locker! :-)

It’s important that you read through and study the examples in the packet before you start solving the inequalities that were given for homework.  Read the transformations or “rules” that are given on page 2.

READ pages 2 through 5 (study all the examples).

On page 5 ,DO the middle column: #s 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31

Remember, there will be a short test on this material on Friday!
