Now that the Un Ete test is finished, we will figure out a way to celebrate!

You must give me all of the work that was required leading up to the test. Some of you still owe me chapters 9 and 10, your main ideas and details study sheet and your original sentences. I will let you know personally, but hand them in if you know that you have them in your possession. THEY ARE LATE!!!

Begin to study your verbs for our test that will be at the end of next week.
Regular -ER, -IR, and -RE from the Premier Livre as well as the irregular verbs that we have studied so far will be on this test. Present tense and future Proche will be included.

Due Thursday, February 14–Valentine’s Day

1. Complete the readings and questions in the packet on Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle, one of the most famous muckraking publications of all time. Click here for the instructions. Click here for the first reading, the excerpt from The Jungle. The second reading (only one double-sided page) is something you have to get from me personally.

Note: I will collect BOTH your annotations AND your answers to the questions on Thursday.

En clase:

1. SC8: Tratamos de repasar el trabajo de los verbos pero no podíamos/ we tried to go over the verb sheet but we couldn’t
2. Entonces leímos cuento no. 15, “El hombre más desafortunado…”/ then we read story #15 together
3. LM8: Fuimos a la biblioteca para escribir apuntes/ ensayos/ we went to the library to take notes and/or write our essays

Tarea:

1. Sigan haciendo los ensayos/ keep working on the papers; corrections and research
2. COMPLETE ROUGH DRAFTS DUE THURS. (SC8) & FRI. (LM8) OF THIS WEEK- FINAL PAPER DUE A WEEK FROM FRIDAY
3. Traigan los trabajos de los verbos a la próxima clase/ bring completed verb sheets to the next class
