  1. Repasamos “Comprensión” del cuento no. 2/ we went over “Comprensión” for story #2
  2. Hicimos los ejercicios de “Vocabulario”/ we did the “Vocabulario” exercises and handed in the whole story
  3. Corregimos las pruebas/ we corrected the quizzes

Tarea:

  1. Estudien para otra prueba el lunes/ study for another quiz on Monday 
  2. IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM ME, EDIT YOUR REFLECTION AND EMAIL BACK IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL- NOT AS AN ATTACHMENT, por favor.

Constitution Works

Split A: LAWYERS: You are drafting your second argument. Using your casebook, please be sure to have your second argument completed by Tuesday, June 3rd. We will review your arguments with your team and combine all arguments into one master document. Lead Lawyers, it is your responsibility to put this master document together.

Split B: JUSTICES: You are drafting your second question using a quote from one specific case. This second question is due Monday, June 2nd. Head Justice, you will lead Monday’s discussion and review all questions at this time. We will eliminate redundancies and create a master document with all questions listed.

 

Romeo and Juliet

Core All: First drafts of your essays are due on Monday, June 2nd. Please attach your outline template to the first draft and hand in both Monday morning.

Core Reflections

We started these reflections in class today. The final reflection is due on the school server by Wednesday, June 4th. You can access a copy of the reflection requirements worksheet on the link on the left.

1. Read Near v. Minnesota (1931) on pages 79-80. Do the worksheet for this case on the blank worksheet provided today in class.

Split A: LAWYERS: You are drafting your first argument. Using your casebook and the model provided in class, please be sure to have this argument completed by Friday, May 30th. We will review your argument with your team.

Bring your dishes in on Monday of next week and be ready to present your projects. All of the lists and the verbs, etc. should be totally done by now.

We will be working in the French is Fun workbook tomorrow, so please bring it to class.

1. Read Gitlow v. United States (1925) on pages 77-78. Do the worksheet for this case on the blank worksheet provided today in class.

2. Read New York Times Co. v. United States (1971) on pages 85-89. Do the worksheet for this case on the blank worksheet provided today in class.

Both cases are due in class on Thursday May 29th.

    Constitution Works 

1. Read Debs v. United States (1919) on page 74. Do the worksheet for this case on pages 21-22.

2. Read Abrams v. United States (1919) on pages 75-76. Do the worksheet for this case on pages 23-24.

Both cases are due in class on Wednesday May 28th. We will review both case worksheets tomorrow morning, from 9:15-10am, (we will not be having Adolescent Issues).
