Pick a number as your “special number” - it should be between 50 and 200.

Spend 10 minutes writing about it mathematically.  Your writing can be in note form or in the form of calculations.  Think about all the topics we have studied in this unit.  You can look in your Prime Time or in your math journal to help you get ideas.  Consider writing about some of these topics:

  1. Prime
  2. Square
  3. Even/Odd
  4. Divisibility rules
  5. Factors
  6. Multiples
  7. Factor Pairs
  8. Factor Rainbow
  9. Factorization
  10. Prime Factorization
  11. GCF
  12. LCM
  13. Cycles problems
  14. Sharing problems

WEEK: Dec/8 — Dec/12

HW Due: Tuesday, Dec/9

  • Finish the poster to present to Pharaoh Khufu.
    • Poster should include:
      • Heading: Name, Date, Class, Science & Title
      • Titles for each section
      • Three diagrams showing your construction methods from breaking apart the rocks to transporting them to pyramid site to lifting them up each level of the pyramid.You can use the ones you already made in class.
        • Use a ruler for all your lines
        • Label all your parts.
      • Short Explanation of how your methods will reduce the force needed to move the block.
        • Should include the actual amount of Newtons you are reducing, obtained from your tests.
  • Finish your construction method model.

Don’t forget that you have your first unit test on Thursday! Be sure to spend time each day reviewing the numbers up to 80, the body parts, and the vocabulary that you have on your flashcards (from your textbook.) Meaning and spelling both count.
