French Assignments

In French class, we do multiple assignments. But one that I really enjoyed was studying using the program Quizlet. We got to test out our knowledge with flashcards, and then learn more with the “Learn” and “Spell” sections. I also loved how they taught you through games, too. At the end of the learning session, you can see how you’ve improved from the flashcards using the box labeled “Test.” These tests are kept short and sweet, some questions posing questions for the students and others being simple and easy. The learning program Quizlet, that is used for adding new words to your vocabulary and studying them, is very interactive and makes testing somewhat fun!

I also really liked the assignment where we did the dialogue. We got to team up with a partner, and one of us pretended to be the server–serveuse–and the other was the customer, or client–cliente–to write a cafe scene. Simone–who was my partner–was the customer and I, the waitress, was asking her what she would like to eat. She ordered two foods, and after I brought them out with a Voila! she ordered a dessert item and a drink. Eventually, we said Au revoir to one another and the client left the cafe. It was fun to write the script, and, although we didn’t get to act it out, we had a great time working together.
