The Hydrogen Story

Part I: Hello fellow kittens. today, is the anniversary of the Anomaly. name is Adam the atom. I’m a hydrogen atom.13.7 billion years ago, I was born. I’m VERY YOUNG. The big bang was HUGE, people were “screaming,” Not really because there is no sound in space, but I swear, I could hear them. That’s because there were getting smashed together, to form one atom. Funny, that’s my name. Atoms swarming like a bee hive, energy energy energy! Until I heard the loudest scream, until I realized it was my own. They were switching like a game back and forth kind of like color switch, which is a awesome game you have to download– never mind. According to the sign up there, I have to say: “Uneven scattering clumping.” Not my words, not my say. All the sudden, I realized that I had been rocketing through space for a LONG time. Was I ever gonna stop? The mass was HUGE. was pitch black, but then… STAR STAR STAR STAR I’M A STAR NOT REALLY STAR STAR STAR YEAH!!!!!! (Sorry. I got a little carried away.) Hey! You don’t talk to me that way! I CREATED you, so…
What I looked like is basically a blob. I was short, and… um, uh, well, fat. No, Um… round. I had a one electron and one proton. I also had 0.008 neutrons. I didn’t have that many, because I was just born! My neutrons and protons combined is called my nucleus. I also had and have now, a electron cloud. It is very handsome. I was green and blue, more green, and very pretty. No, handsome? What do you call it? Okay, handsome. I’m very handsome. And very blobby too. I’m like jam, and jelly, and peanut butter at the same time. I am thick, but jelly like and wobbly. I wasn’t ALWAYS a diamond atom. I used to be a star and then I blew up. It was very fun. Then I became a heavier element (iron gold diamond platinum etc.)
One of the first things I ever saw, and might never see again, that was forming were stars.
It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. (Except me of course.) But then, they were not going in order, they were not going one at a time any more, I realized that they were creating my home. My galaxy. But, after that happened, My fellow atoms were blowing up! That was called a supernova. That’s when I realized, It had been a long time, from the anomaly. I also realized that I was not so special, because atoms were becoming, heavier elements in space. They were not hydrogen atoms anymore, they were gold, diamond, helium, and so many more. The weird planet called earth, I’m not going to capitalize it because it is sooooooo pathetic) used to be red. (This is the second most beautiful thing I have ever seen.) Gravity, was forming. How did I know this? BECAUSE I’M A ATOM AND I’M PERFECT! ATOMS KNOW THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know that weird planet earth I was talking about? (Again, not capitalizing it) Well, all that mass, came from the BIG BANG! But space needed more to work with. So, as I told you, like me, We EXPLODED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stars, I mean. Supernova’s I mean. That’s how you get those planets. Like earth, poor earth, (100 percent NOT capitalizing!!) It lost mass, And gave it to the moon. But now, the moon holds earth steady, and that’s that. HA! The earth NEEDED HELP! Even now, for the Galaxy, that’s expanding. But then, oh no. I was falling! Right into that pathetic planet earth!!! ‘Okay,’ I thought. ‘I’m not drifting that fast.’ But oh I was. Until, I hit the planet, still thinking I was drifting, I was falling. eARTH! (Not using spelling!) I hit the GROUND. Stupid gravity!!!!!!! The ground was a sad place, oh, I MISSED GOLDY AND MY FRIENDS! Well, one year, a–something with A hair and A tooth and A diaper, AND EVERYTHING A!! From my beautiful carrot, to a hideous AH!! But, I did have other atoms with heavier elements that wouldn’t spell my name right! But like when I was 3,000,000 years young, some atom was a hydrogen atom. Who knows how my story will end, maybe an octopus might try to kill me and my new friends and my eater of my carrot, baby. I just know I won’t die!
