The Day Of The Game

Scene 1

Beginning

Finns view

As I walk to the Brooklyn Bridge, I wave goodbye to my best friend Greg. I went to a school in Brooklyn and I live in Manhattan. Greg lives in Brooklyn and is one year older than me. I am 12 and Greg is 13, and they were in the same class, Greg was the oldest kid in the grade. I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge right next to the cars, there was a metal fence between us. As I thought to myself, “What game should I play when I get home?” My favorite thing to do is play one my video game console. I decided he was going to play Super Mario.

When I got one block away from my house I thought, “What if I could meet Mario in real life and have a fun time running around and jumping into pipes?” When I got into my apartment I turn on my console and I turn on Super Mario Maker. I play a few people’s levels and I thought actually maybe I should play Pokemon. So I turn on Pokemon and things look kind of weird, it glitches a lot and it was not working right, so I turn off Pokemon. The next few games I turn on are all acting weird and are glitching. Those include Pokemon, Mario, No Man’s Sky, Star Wars Battlefront, Animal Crossing, and I even try Pac-Man, but none of them work! So I try playing super Mario Run and Pokemon go on my phone and neither of them work! The only game that works is Super Mario Maker! So I start to play Mario Maker but I get stuck on one level. The the console starts to shake. And it shakes more and even more, and then it starts to make a weird noise that sounds like a car engine.

The TV starts to look really big and the game looks like Mario is falling through the floor and … all the stuff stops. It just stops making the noise and shaking. I run into his room and grabs his phone to call Greg. I tell Greg what just happened and tells him to come over right away. While I am waiting the TV turns on to breaking news “THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE WAS JUST DESTROYED BY A CREATURE THAT LOOKS LIKE BOWSER FROM MARIO!”

I jumped up and fell on the ground. Greg must’ve been on the Brooklyn Bridge! I ran out the door and ran to where the bridge was. I saw Bowser. He shot some fire in the air! I ran back home to hide from Bowser, when I see something that would change my life… I saw at least one character from every game I play on my console. Then he knew what happened. The console made a character from every game I play!

Scene 2

The Wrong Thought

Greg’s view

 

Finn calls me about some mumbo jumbo. “Oh no, my console is shaking,” said Greg. I don’t believe him. Anyways I go to his house to play. I walk towards the bridge, and its not there… What the heck? Where did it go? So I walk back home and when I am one block away I swear I see something. It looked about 5 feet tall. I turn toward the alley and walk down it. I start to get nervous and then before I could blink I am in the air being held by a CHARIZARD. I tell him to let go but he does not! He flies over where the Brooklyn Bridge used to be and I see, FINN! He flies down and puts me down next to Finn. I look next him and I see why he looks scared…

I look at Finn and he looks at me and screams

“YOU’RE ALIVE!” And I said “You thought I was on the bridge!?” Finn said “YES!” Then BANG an, explosion happens right in front of us! We see a (mega) Rayquaza fly through the air and fire a lot of beams that are very powerful! Charizard grabs me and flies in the air. Finn looks really scared standing there alone. As soon as I look away he is gone! Rayquaza shoots a beam at Charizard and hits him! Charizard is holding me as we fall into the river where the bridge used to be! OH NO! …

 

Scene 2 and a half

Meeting New Friends

Finn’s view

 

Oh no … Greg decides to ditch me with his stupid Charizard. As he starts to fly up, I hear something and then as soon as I can turn around I’m get punched in the face! It’s a Greninja! And the the Greninja has a Mudkip on his shoulder! . They grab me and drag me into a alley. There is a lot of weak and scared video game characters! There’s a Yoshi a Ewok and a Ozzie , and more!

 

Scene 3

Working Together

Finn’s view

 

Me and my little “Video game friends” think of a plan to stop this madness.

Greninja says “Gre gre gre nin gre ja gre” Mudkip translates it, he says “He’s saying that we should shut off the console.” But Ozzie says, “If we do, we will be stuck back in the video game world!” Ozzie looks a bit scared. Mudkip says “But we have to save this world!” A long silence came up. Then Talonflame says, “What if you fly on my back and I fly into your apartment!” Greninja says, “Sounds good.” Talonflame grabs me with his claws. Greninja and Mudkip jump on his back and he flies high in the air. I wonder where Greg went? I tell Talonflame to please look for Greg but he says, “There’s not enough time.” Then out of nowhere Rayquaza flew up and shot a beam at us and it hits Greninja in the face! Mudkip screamed, “NOOOO!!” Mudkip looked like he was the one who was falling! Greninja fell really fast! I could not tell where he landed but it looked close to the river!

 

Scene 3 and one half

Taking Action

Greg’s view

 

I wake up and I’m on the ground. I look around to see where Charizard is but I can’t find him! As I try to get up I fall right back down. OW, my back feels like it split in half! In the water I see a small flame, it must be Charizard! I jump in the water and I see him, but I also see another pokemon! It’s a Greninja! I grab them both and try to pull them out of the water and a few minutes later they wake up! When they look at each other Charizard starts to shoot fire at Greninja and Greninja throughs Water Shurikens! The two collide and it makes a steamy explosion. I grab them both and pull them back on the shore. “Wow they must hate each other!” I said.

 

Again Charizard flies away with me, and Greninja runs away. He lands in front of Finn’s building. He stares at the building in terror but I don’t know why! I look up and see why… Weird reddish black vines come out and are covering the building! It is probably trying to protect the console! I see a Talonflame and notice there is a person on it! ITS FINN! He tells me his plan and we both get on top of our flying pokemon and we break the window of his apartment, we get in. Greninja, Mudkip, Talonflame, and Charizard start to break the vines with their water and fire powers. Finally we see it… we see the console. Finn runs to it and tries to pull the plug, “It wont budge!!!” he says. Finally Greninja comes and cuts it but, it starts to shake, and make weird noises and soon a flash of light comes out and I can’t see a thing…   

 

Scene 4

The Chase

Finn’s view

 

As me and Greg start to wake up, we look around. Everyone had fainted. Greninja, Charizard, Mudkip and Talonflame too. We all start to get up but we all notice were not near Finn’s apartment at all, in fact were in Brooklyn! Ozzie, Yoshi and Ewok crowd around us. They ask if we’re okay, I say yes. They tell us what happened while we passed out. They said by unplugging it, it just made the evil characters stronger and more came out! We see a small space ship fly over our heads! Then it gets shot down by Rayquaza! It lands on the other side of the river. It takes a pretty long time, but we make it across the river and look at the ship. It looks like the beginner ship from no man’s sky! And in the ship there was Mario! He looked up and jumped out and started to run away! I ran after him screaming, “MARIO, MARIO WAIT FOR ME!” He was really fast. I don’t know why he was running, but when I turned around, I knew why… PAC MAN!!!! I RUN SO FAST, AS FAST AS I CAN!!! I see the Manhattan Bridge and I follow Mario and we run across it. Behind us is Pac Man, eating the bridge while chasing us! Then it starts to tip over and we start to fall off! As we tumble down the side me and Mario start to scream! Then I see the spaceship! Greg opens the window and screams, “GET IN!” Greg looks very terrified. I jump on top, but I notice Mario can’t fit, there’s only room for two!

I sit down on the seat and Mario jumps higher than he ever has before, does a front flip, lands on Pac Man, jumps off of him and does flips and that stuff and he lands on the ground!

“WHAT HOW DID HE DO THAT!”

“Well he is a parkour master,” Finn said. Then Pac Man falls into the river and he slowly sinks. Greg flies the ship back to the group and we meet mario and our friends. We go to the alley where I first met all of my new friends. Mario tells us about how he can place pipes and how he can use them to go wherever he wants! And we start to make a plan.

 

Scene 5

Planning While Disaster

Greg’s view

 

“Well I think we should put down pipes and go home.” said Ewok.

“What the heck, we can’t do that, we caused this mess and we have to fix it!” said Mudkip. After a long time we thought of a plan! We would first put down a pipe so just in case if the console breaks, it would explode the evil video game characters. And the good video game characters would be through and safe. Next we would try to destroy the console in two ways. Plan A and B. A: We would actually take a hammer or something that can smash stuff and smash the console too pieces. B: We would try the secret code, UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, START! We start to think of what we should do… Mario: Protects the attacking group from bad guys. Yoshi: Guard the pipes so it does not get destroyed. Ewok: Stops bad guys with using his cuteness. Ozzie: Searches the area. Charizard and Talonflame: Guards from the skies. Mudkip and Greninja: Helps Greg and Finn destroy the console!

 

As we start to get into place we hear a loud boom! We look to our left and we see something really bad, Donkey Kong on the empire state building! And he’s fighting Bowser! They both hit and punch, and breath fire, and shoot bananas, at each other! Donkey Kong shoots a banana peel at Bowser and he misses! And… It hits Rayquaza… OH NO! BAM!! Rayquaza flies faster than ever before and shoots beams at them! He’s so powerful that he can probably defeat them both by himself! They start to fight for a while and then someone comes and joins the fight… its Inky Blinky Pinky and Clyde! Let’s see who wins this fight!

 

Scene 6

The Fight

Finn’s view

 

“Looks like Rayquaza may lose!” said Finn.

“I think…” said Finn. I was thinking, “It looks like Donkey Kong and Bowser agree for once to team up!” Blinky and Inky will go after Rayquaza and Pinky and Clyde go after Donkey Kong and Bowser! Maybe we can still destroy the console while they’re distracted! We run into the building and see the vines. They start to attack and they try to grab us! Mudkip is surrounded by the vines and kills one after one and finally he gets all of them except one…

 

It grabs him and squeezes him! He starts to look really hurt so I run really fast and punch it! Mudkip falls down, he past out! He looks really hurt! Then I hear a very, very loud boom and the wall breaks and the building starts to break! “OH NO!” lots and lot of chunks of metal fall! We run so fast out of the building but a piece of metal falls down on me…

 

Scene 7

We run so fast, me and Greninja make it out… and a piece of metal falls and hits Finn! “OH NO!” “Is finn okay!” Then the building just collapses… and now… it’s just rubble… I see why it collapsed, it was PINKY! I tell Charizard to get here right now and to fly me near the fight! He says “CHAR CHAR ZARD ZARD!!!” That means “NO WAY AM I DOING THAT!!!” I tell him “DO IT OR ELSE I WILL GO MYSELF!” He yells back and says “FINE!” He grabs me and starts to fly. I am so mad I want to jump off but I don’t. As we approach them I scream “YOU STUPID…” They look at me and start to get mad… I want to jump off and attack them but now i’m too scared…  

 

I look at them, and i’m very scared… they look at me very mad… they know i’m scared… I know they think i’m a joke… and I know I will not be thinking this is some mumbo jumbo when I fall. And as soon as I can scream “RUN!!!” I’m falling… very fast…

 

Scene 7 and a half

Difference

I look around I see, my friends. They all notice i’m awake, they give me a hug. I look behind me, I see a crushed building. It comes back to me what happened! A piece of metal fell on me! I look at the empire state building, it’s destroyed. All I see is… dead… bodies…  I ask how long has it been, they say three days. They take me to the empire state building and all I see is rubble. The sky is very grey. I feel like i’m forgetting something. Something very important… or someone… I can’t remember anything, I can’t even remember what it was like before this happened. It hurts my head to think and it hurts to move. Then it comes to me… I remember what I forgot… they look at me and I finally notice “WHERE”S GREG!” They tell me about what happened. They look very sad, especially Charizard…

 

Scene 8

Searching

Finn’s view

 

I look every where for him, if he’s… alive. I look everywhere and I can’t find anything. I look around and I start to hear a car engine, “I know that noise…” “It sounds like… THE CONSOLE!” I look behind me and I see them… a few dead… PINKY: DEAD. CLYDE: DEAD. INKY: ALIVE. BLINKY: ALIVE. DONKEY KONG: DEAD. BOWSER: ALIVE. RAYQUAZA: ALIVE. It looks like Bowser, Inky, Blinky and Rayquaza decided to end the fight with no winner… Bowser holds the console in his hands like if it’s some kind of thing that keeps him alive… actually it is the thing that keeps him alive!

 

He looks at me and shoots fire at me, I dodge it and he starts to get a little angry. Rayquaza shoots a beam and I run away! It’s right behind me until it blows up behind me and sends me flying! I start to scream, “HELP, HELP ME, SOMEONE PLEASE!” I know something very bad is about to happen! “OH NO” When i’m around five feet away from the ground Talonflame catches me! He lands me down next to the river. I look around and all I see is a dark cloudy sky. Nothing that is interesting that I can see. Then out of the corner of my eye I see some kind of body walk down the street, a street in brooklyn! It does not look very tall, probably around my height until I start to, notice… who… that… is…

 

Scene 8 and a half

Wrong

Greg’s view

I look around I notice… I’m under… water.

“OH NO!” I might drown! I try to swim up but it hurts so much, finally I make it to shore. I look up, it’s a cloudy day. I start to remember what happened! I fell of the building! But… how did I fall in a river many miles away!? I think about all the possibilities and I figure it out… I must’ve started to fall but I got hit again and it blasted me forward all the way to this river. It must of been a long fall. Then I think I should look for the group until, I see a outline of a person, I wonder who it is, what if is Finn? Probably not. I get down on the shore and I start to swim across. The closer I get… the more… they look… like Finn… I notice… “IT IS FINN!!!!!” I run up to him and we talk about what happened! He tell’s me how he almost died from falling, and I said “Sounds similar.” He laughs and tells’ me more, and we decided to get on with the plan to stop the bad guys…

 

Scene 9

Sacrifice

Finn’s view

 

As we look near my old house (their new base) it looks like they tried to re build it, it didn’t work… I open the upside down door and walk up the stairs. Greninja, Mudkip and Greg behind me. We see it, the console… we run but the vines trick us! They grab Greninja and Mudkip, we free them loose. I look out the window and I see the evil game characters fighting our friends… finally me and Greg get close enough that we can try the methods. We tell them

“GUYS YOU BETTER GET OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW OR ELSE BAD STUFF WILL HAPPEN!!!!!” One by one they all jump into the pipe and scream goodbye, I said to greg “I will miss them so much, they were our only friends.” Then I pull out the hammer and scream “DIE!!!” As the two things collide the hammer goes flying to the other side of the room, until I notice… “the console… DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A SCRATCH!!!” “Well time for plan B, I grab the controller and press UP UP DOWN DO… “AHHH!” The vine grabs a hold of me! It uses to hammer and hits it against the ground next to me, threatening me! Greg screams and grabs the controller… before he can even press a button the vine throws the hammer and hits greg’s head!! Then at this moment I knew “WE MESSED UP!” I hear footsteps and I hear a quiet “G… R… E…” Wait, I know that noise, it’s GRENINJA! He runs over and grabs the controller I scream to him “DON’T DO IT… YOU WILL DIE IF YOU DO IT!!” He presses all the buttons except for start and with a small tear in his eye I hear him say the first word in english I ever heard him say…

“GAME OVER!”

 

Epilogue

FINN’S VIEW

 

I wake up in my bed, it’s saturday morning, last day of school was yesterday. I think about what had happened, IN MY DREAM… video game characters in real life pshh, that would never happen… I thought to myself, last night I stayed up really late playing video games I probably was thinking about it too much. As my mom called me for breakfast I thought, “It would be cool if that actually happened.” As I look around my room I saw something that wasn’t there before, a water shuriken.
