Descriptions Using Adjectives in French

So far this year the main topic has been adjectives. We used them in the  stuffed animal description, the celebrity description, and the Halloween pictures description. When we learned about adjectives, we learned the placement of the adjectives, the spelling of the adjectives, and the placement of certain letters at the end of adjectives. For example, the placement of adjectives is usually after the noun, but if the adjective is a part of the BAGS rule than it goes in front of the noun. My favorite example of when we used adjectives was in the Celebrity description. I got to describe Luna Lovegood. I got to write all about her where she lives what she likes and what she is like. It was really fun.

Here is the Assigment:

  1. Qu’est-ce que c’est? Une personne ou un animal, etc.?

Elle est une personne.

  1. Où est-ce qu’il/elle habite?

Elle habite en Angleterre.

  1. Qui est-ce? Comment s’appelle-t’il/elle?

Verbs In French

WIN_20160518_17_59_47_Pro WIN_20160518_18_00_14_Pro

In this assignment we were supposed to make sentences with infinitive verbs in french. We  Had a picture and the verb and we were supposed to conjugate them to make a sentence and add a little extra detail like this, Il a mangé la nourriture, He ate food is the translation. The patterns that I have learned from this is that all the endings of the regular and conjugated verbs all something that has the letter “E” in it like, ez, es and ent. this works for all of them except for Nous which ends in “ONS”.  Like I listed before, these are the endings of the conjugated verbs: Je=E, Tu=Es Il/Elle=Es, Nous=Ons, Vous=Ez and Ils/Elles=Ent. My favorite part of this project was making up crazy sentences based on pictures.
