Eye Drawing

when this picture was taken, I had just finished drawing the reflections of the eye lashes in the eye. I had already worked on my iris but when I finished the lashes I went back to the iris to add more detail. After I finished the iris I out lined my eye in a darker color, then I darkened the reflections of the window in my eye. After that I shaded the inside of my eye and then started shading the skin. While I was doing this I continued to go back to my iris and make small changes. Now I am working on the actual eye lashes, not the reflections, and when I finish those I’ll be done with the project. I am very happy with where I am now in my drawing, the only thing I would change is the detail, I would like to add more to make it look like my eye.

Spring break

This spring break I went to Florida for the first week. We didn’t do anything interesting there except swim and sleep but there were some highlights. There was an alligator, living in our pond at the condo we were renting and that was pretty cool. Every day we would wake up and look for him because every day he would move. My uncle who lives in Canada came down from Canada for a couple of days, and that was nice because we never see him. He spent a lot of time with my Dad because they never see each other. And also when we got back to New York, I went up to Connecticut with Farin and Lucia. It was only for a couple of days but it was still really fun. We spent a lot of time decorating  my tree house that me and my brother Matt had made a while ago. We spent a whole day working together and making it look really cool. we added chairs, a table, blankets and some other random things we found. We used a lot of candles, not real ones though; we also had some solar powered ones, but they didn’t work. It was really fun working with my close friends, we did so many random things. And every day after a long day’s work, we would sit down and watch the hobbit together. we watched all the movies in a day; it was really awesome!

Descriptions Using Adjectives in French

So far this year the main topic has been adjectives. We used them in the  stuffed animal description, the celebrity description, and the Halloween pictures description. When we learned about adjectives, we learned the placement of the adjectives, the spelling of the adjectives, and the placement of certain letters at the end of adjectives. For example, the placement of adjectives is usually after the noun, but if the adjective is a part of the BAGS rule than it goes in front of the noun. My favorite example of when we used adjectives was in the Celebrity description. I got to describe Luna Lovegood. I got to write all about her where she lives what she likes and what she is like. It was really fun.

Here is the Assigment:

  1. Qu’est-ce que c’est? Une personne ou un animal, etc.?

Elle est une personne.

  1. Où est-ce qu’il/elle habite?

Elle habite en Angleterre.

Lunenburg

Every Summer I go to Canada usually it is Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia because both of my older brothers live there. This year went to a town called Lunenburg. It is small but very cute and we stayed in a house just outside the town. The house was around a lake which we were allowed to swim and sail in.The weather is a lot cooler in Canada the highs are in late 60’s and early 70’s so the water was a little chilly, but refreshing. The house was very old but I liked it and every one had a room in the house which was good. My brother Tom brought his cat Leo to the house but we were not sure he was allowed so when the owner of the house came to say hi we had to lock Leo in his room. We did a lot of things in Lunenburg; We swam like I said, we sailed, fished, camped, Explored water caves, went to the beach, and went shopping in the town. We left Lunenburg on a Saturday and then went to Halifax were we went horse back riding and I got a ukulele.

Caves

This summer I went to Nova Scotia, in this post I am not talking about the whole trip. I’m zooming in on the last day when I went to the Water Caves. It was a Friday and Me and my brothers went to the water caves. We went to a park were the caves were, but they didn’t just have caves. They had a petting zoo too; with goats, chickens and pigs. But we decided to go to the caves first. We walked up a trail that would lead to the water caves. we went into the first cave. We had to walk down a very steep flight of stairs with a sign above us that said: Watch for Falling Rocks which was a little freaky. When we went in the cave it felt like I steeped into Harry Potter. I looked exactly like what you would imagin the cave in the Half Blood Prince were the locket was hidden.  It was so magical but we werent standing in the cave we were standing on a platform looking down into the water but it was cool all the same. All the other caves looked like the first one but they were all beautiful.

Cuttyhunk Island

This summer in July I went to Cuttyhunk Island. Cuttyhunk Island is the outermost of the Elizabeth Islands in Massachusetts. We were there for four days; We go up every year with our friends; Well they invite us really. They stay on the island for two weeks, and they don’t know a lot of  people there so they invite friends up. When we were island we did quite a lot of things for four days. We went fishing, we went swimming, we went hiking, we went camping, we ate lobster, we watched a really creepy movie and a lot of other things that I forget. The house my friends rent has a deck, every meal of the day we would eat outside and watch the beautiful sun set. On the island we always have at Oysters which I love. Every year we have them just like every year at Cuttyhunk we have Lobster. I had a whole Lobster to myself because we had swordfish that night too and I don’t like swordfish very much. It is very warm during the day on Cuttyhunk but also very cold at night so the temperature is always all over the place. It was a really fun trip but when we were away my Grand Father got really sick and he lives in Canada so it would be hard to see him. So my Dad was getting stressed so when we left the island we were kind of glad to leave but when we were on the island we were having a lot of fun.

Here are some pictures of Cuttyhunk
