Good Bad
I think that the good one is good because it is neat and has a few examples to show what I am explaining. I think that the bad one is bad because it is messy and not very clear what I am saying. Plus there are no examples. I have noticed that I have not had any very messy pages seance the beginning of the year.
This assignment was all about finding similar figures. To solve this sheet you mainly just had to find a scale factor and is two shapes had the same scale factor then they were similar. I didn’t find this to be a very difficult sheet but I think it would be much easier now that I understand scale factors better.
For the madarin project in the first quarter my goup made a video/skit all about the dragon boat festival. I think that my group didn’t do the best job on this project but I think that it was also the very first project of that size that we had had that year so I think I will be able to do better in the future. I also think there were some technical dificulties with the filming and editing that won’t happen in the future.
The main trouble that I ran into was that I couldn’t get there to be just one shade of pencil. What I mean by this is that I was having trouble getting the coloring smooth so that each box had one shade rather than multiple. Another trouble that I ran into was that I had trouble keeping all the little lines in the box because I was trying to cover the space with long strokes rather than little scribbles. Overall I think that I did a good job but with some more practice I could do better.
I can remember writing math equations in kindergarten on long strips of paper. I thought that it was so cool that I could tell you what 10×10 was because my sister tought it to me when she was learning multiplication in 2nd grade. Hen I remember learning how to add numbers up to 10+10 in first grade. Then multiplication and division in 2nd through 4th. Then in 5th grade we learned about adding, subtraction get, dividing and multiplying decimals and fraction plus a bit if geometry and then some of the same stuff in 6th.
One high point for me in math was last year because that was when I started to enjoy math. The reason for this I think was because in the past I hadn’t enjoyed the teacher that had taught me math was not a person that I really enjoyed to learn from. But in 6th I really enjoyed Margaret as a teacher. And I think I will enjoy math this year.
One low point in math for me was 4th grade because I had trouble with the matter but didn’t really try to work on it I just kind of let it slide And now I wish I had tried harder on that part of math. That unit was on multiplication table memorization so I have had to work harder on that now.
One thing that I like about learning math is that it is a tough but satisfying subject. So when you are having trouble with an equation then you are really having trouble but when you complete it it makes you feel really good and all powerful.
One thing that I dislike about learning math is that I am slow at solving problems so Then I will be behind in class and then will miss something that might be important for homework or any of the other thing we are doing.
I would say I am in the middle because I know the matter fairly well but I could still use some help with it plus I am semi slow at problems so I will sometimes not finish things in the timeframe that is given. But needles to say I would say I am okay.
One way that I study is I will take my notes from the unite and read them over a few times the I will create a few practice problems and solve them. If I get stuck with homework I will often go to my dad because he is a banker and has a lot of experience with math. Or I will ask my sister because she has take all of these units so she will help me remember what to do or re teach me the way to do those problems.
