My Haiku Poem “Island”

Island
On one for my life
And now for some more of time
But it feels different

I made this poem about London and NYC, it’s about how I was on and island (The UK) and then on one for a bit longer (Manhattan) but how I still feel different about my surroundings. I wanted to confuse people a bit and have fun with my poem so they had to think and not just read it. I was surprised by how long I had to think about it to find the correctly numbered syllables for the haiku. A haiku is made of five syllables then seven then five again. It is a classic Japanese way of a good fun poem. One funny one goes like this:
Haiku’s are funny
But they don’t always make sense
Refrigerators
They can be funny but they can also be very sad about someone in someones family who passed away or is very ill.

Muscular system

In Science Marlo, Konrad, and Oni have been studying the muscular system. Part of that is tendons. We learned about them from Wikipedia.

The structure is:
It’s shaped like gum so it can move with the muscle and the bones.
Tendons have been traditionally considered to simply be a mechanism by which muscles connect to bone, functioning simply to transmit forces. This connection allows tendons to passively modulate forces during locomotion, providing additional stability with no active work. However, over the past two decades, much research focused on the elastic properties of some tendons and their ability to function as springs.
