Digital Art Photoshop Poster

My photoshop poster is an abstract view of central park with my face outlined in it. The name of the artwork is Allusion. Allusion has 5 principles of design. The first principal of design is Pattern. The background has a Pattern of loosely parallel lines. The second principal of design is Contrast, which is experienced in the black and white lines of my background. The black and white contrasting lines symbolize the black and white metaphor in politics. Except there are colors going through the lines. This is to symbolise that politics is actually not just made up of white and black, but is like a whole color scale. The color scale reflects all the different ideas in politics and that there is not always a simple right and wrong policy answer. Design principle number three is Emphasis. I have emphasized the left tree in the middle of the artwork. That tree is it’s natural green. I did this to show how untouched nature is beautiful, and how nature stands out in the New York environment. The fourth design principle is Rhythm/Movement. There is Movement in the background and the foreground. I created Movement where the lines are squiggly in the background and where the people are walking in the foreground. My last and fifth principle of design is Harmony. Harmony is in the whole art piece because everything blends into each other. I blended my different pictures (of buildings, nature, my face) to pull them together to have Harmony in Allusion.
