Hatchet By Gary Paulsen

  HATCHET

by Gary Paulsen

I’m reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, the main characters name is Brian Robeson. The setting of this book is in a plane and the Canadian Wilderness. It is about a boy heading on a plain to see his father and he and the pilot are the only people on the plain something happens to the pilot but I wont say, and Brian lands where he does not want to and he has to survive alone. I did not enjoy the book very much if I were to rate it 1 to 5 I would say 2 or 3. My least favorite part about the book was hearing the gross juicey words about what happened to the pilot. I would recommend this book to people who like kind of an adventure story with sad and GROSS parts.

  1. Emma, you are not the only fourth-grade to give Hatchet a poor review! Aside from the gruesome language, what else about this book didn’t work for you? Does Hatchet have any redeeming qualities?
