This outfit is called modern Iris for three reasons! 

1. I named it Iris after Iris Apfel because she wears a lot of heavy jewelry. Here is a picture of Iris Apfel. She is known as almost the creator of this “personal style movement.” She has a documentary out that I plan on watching again for my project.

2. I have an Aunt named Iris who loves the color purple, just like I do. When I think or Iris I think or purple. And, as you can see– it has a good amount of purple. 
3. This outfit is called modern Iris because it’s much more modest than I usually wear. I would wear this to a job interview (one in which it’s okay/supposed to show style, of course) or a day in the office. When I think of working women, I think of modern. Hence, the name ‘Modern Iris’.
