Today I started working at Westville! I wake up at around 10 to get there at 11. I have been put in charge of all the orders going out to the hospitals. How this works is there will be a charity that funds the meals for the hospitals, the hospital places their order (usually around 150 meals), this order get put through the Westville computer (used for seamless, grubhub, etc…), a sheet of paper is printed with the order in the kitchen, they cook the meals, I bag them, they go out for delivery. One thing that is striking to me is the community here at Westville. Everyone knows everyone no matter what the position. There is a sense of a community working towards a goal. This is a nice thing to be a part of as it feels like you are helping people on the front lines of this Pandemic. Food is essential.
