Today I met with Shai. Shai is the manager of technology and human resources at Westville and has been bogged down with work recently. While some workplaces are experiencing less and less work due to COVID-19, Westville has experienced an increase in orders as they are now delivering food to hospitals and essential workers. Although I have not started, I have met with Shai and discussed what I will be doing during this project. He brought up the idea of making flyers for a free meal for all essential workers and having me go around and deliver them. However, he still is running a business so we had to talk our way through the logistics. If you give everyone a free meal, the restaurant is not making any money. It was interesting to watch the logistics of trying to do something good for your community while keeping your business afloat.
