Dakota – Week 1 Update 2

In the past couple of days, I have done a lot of research about hot pot (called da bien lou in Cantonese). I initially thought that there was just one version of hot pot with different ingredients depending on the region but after watching several videos, I realized that various regions and countries had different versions of hot pot that include different cooking broths as well as different pot shapes.

By watching other videos of people eating and talking about hot pot, I’m realizing that food has similar impacts on other people and that we have similar experiences with the food, although I am not sure if this is because we were both Asian/Cantonese or if it was the food that gave us the shared link.
